14" Rotatech Carbide Tipped Chainsaw Chain For TANAKA ECS405 Semi-Chisel

A specialist chain for abrasive cutting conditions where conventional chains lose their edge prematurely.

Fewer sharpening stops. More time cutting.

The value of carbide goes beyond a longer-lasting chain: it is the time saved between sharpening stops. Carbide-tipped cutters are harder than conventional steel cutters and resist abrasion extremely well, helping the cutting edge withstand dirty, gritty timber.

When soil, dirty bark or abrasive contamination repeatedly blunts a conventional chain, stopping to sharpen or change it interrupts the job. Longer intervals between those stops can make carbide a more productive choice and help justify its higher upfront cost.

Key benefits

  • Carbide-tipped cutters: hard, abrasion-resistant cutting edges for demanding wood-cutting conditions.
  • Less downtime: spend less time sharpening or swapping prematurely dulled chains.
  • Up to 4× longer life: longer-lasting cutting performance in abrasive conditions. Chain life and sharpening intervals vary with use, timber, contamination and maintenance.

Suitable for abrasive wood cutting

A practical choice for dirty bark, roots, reclaimed timber, railway-type timber, demolition wood, fire-damaged wood and timber contaminated with grit or soil, where abrasion causes frequent sharpening stops.

Check the material before cutting and remove nails, screws, stones and other non-wood obstructions. Use the chain for wood cutting with correctly matched cutting equipment.

Sharpening and care
